Firstly, gather and measure all the ingredients needed to make the recipe.
Step 2: Blend All Ingredients
Secondly, add all the ingredients to a Vitamix and blend until well combined and smooth.
Step 3: Garnish The Smoothie Bowl
Lastly, this step is optional, but you can add extra nutrition to your smoothie bowl by topping it with fresh fruit.
For example, sliced strawberries, raspberries, sliced bananas or sprinkle some organic hemp seeds on top.
Expert Tips + Ingredient Substitutions For Wild Blueberry Acai Protein Smoothie Bowl
Here are some expert tips to make this recipe perfectly:
Wild Blueberries. Frozen wild blueberries combined with the frozen acai packs will give you a thick smoothie bowl texture. In addition, using wild blueberries will give you the best nutritional benefits and are a recommended healing food of the Medical Medium protocol. However, you can use regular organic cultivated blueberries too.
Frozen Acai Berry Packets. I really like using the Sambazon frozen smoothie packs because they have 0 grams of sugar and are a good source of healthy omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 fats. You can find them in the frozen food section at Whole Foods but if you don't have access to Whole Foods you could also try using organic acai powder to get the benefits of the acai berry.
Homemade Almond Milk. Using homemade almond milk is my milk of preference but you can always use your favorite non-dairy milk. Another great option is to use Joi Organic Almond Milk made with 100% organic almonds.
Protein Powder. My favorite plant-based protein powder is Epic Organic Plant Protein - Vanilla Lucuma. However, you can omit the protein powder in this recipe, substitute with organic hemp protein or organic pumpkin seed protein or use your favorite brand.
Toppings. I like to use fresh organic bananas, strawberries, blackberries, and organic hemp seeds to add on top of my smoothie bowl, but feel free to use your favorite fruit or berries or whatever you have on hand.
