Notes
Fresh or Frozen Fruit: You can use a combination of either fresh banana + frozen cherries or frozen banana + fresh cherries. Keep in mind if you use both frozen bananas + frozen cherries you may need to add a little extra milk and it will be more like a smoothie bowl than a smoothie.Bananas: I used fresh organic bananas in this recipe but you can also use frozen. See notes above.Cherries: I used frozen organic dark sweet cherries in this recipe but you can use your favorite variety. Please don't use the jarred bright red cherries with additives and food coloring. Cauliflower Rice: I would only use frozen organic cauliflower rice for this recipe and not cauliflower rice that has been cooked or boiled. The frozen variety will not have a flavor and will give the smoothie an icy texture.Aloe Vera: I like to add it because of the healing benefits it provides but it does not affect the flavor. If you don't have or can't find fresh aloe vera, you can omit this ingredient.Homemade Almond Milk: I like to make my own homemade almond milk but feel free to use your favorite non-dairy milk or use Joi Organic Almond Milk made with 100% organic almonds.Serving Size: This recipe will make (1) large smoothie or (2) regular-size smoothies.
