Add all ingredients to a mason jar, seal the lid tightly, and shake vigorously until all ingredients are combined well.
Put the mason jar in the refrigerator for at least (1) hour, or overnight, to allow it to thicken.
Remove from the refrigerator and re-stir before serving.
Homemade Almond Milk. I like to use homemade almond milk but feel free to use your favorite non-dairy milk. Another great option is to use Joi Organic Almond Milk made with 100% organic almonds.Chocolate Chips. I find the "mini" chocolate chips work better in this recipe so they don't overpower the recipe, but you can also use standard-size chocolate chips. In addition, I prefer to use the Enjoy Life brand because they are allergy-friendly and contain only 3 ingredients.Cacao Powder. This can be substituted with regular cocoa powder in the same amount.Sweetness. I didn't add additional sweetener to this recipe because I felt the chocolate chips gave it enough sweetness without being too sweet. However, taste it and if you prefer it to be a little sweeter, just add 1-2 tablespoons of organic maple syrup.
