Notes
Strawberries. I used strawberries to make this smoothie but you could use your favorite fruit. For example, bananas, peaches, blueberries, mango, etc.Homemade Almond Milk. This is my milk of preference, however, you can always use your favorite non-dairy milk. Another great option is to use Joi Organic Almond Milk made with 100% organic almonds.Garden of Life "Raw Organic Fit". You can substitute this protein powder with (3) tablespoons of your favorite vegan protein powder.*Medical Medium. Omit the suggested protein powder and/or use organic hemp protein or organic pumpkin seed protein. If you use either of these options, you will need to add a sweetener such as 2-4 organic Medjool dates (pitted) since they are single-ingredient protein powders with no added sugar.Ice Cubes. If you are using fresh strawberries (or other fruit) I highly recommend adding about 6 ice cubes to your smoothie to give it a thicker, frosty texture. However, if you are using frozen strawberries (or other frozen fruit), you may not need to add ice cubes or as many. Feel free to adjust the number of ice cubes you use to get the texture you like.Extra Sweetener. If you find the smoothie isn't sweet enough for you, just add 1-2 organic Medjool dates (pitted).
