Versatile Plant-Based Recipe
I initially created this recipe to go with my Roasted Smashed Potatoes recipe and it was a perfect match.
However, it would also go great with my Healthy Oven-Baked Green Tomatoes or these Gluten-Free Vegan Oven-Baked Onion Rings from my CLEAN EATING Cookbook as well!
Because it's a rather thick sauce which is perfect for a dip, sauce or spread on a wrap, but you could also thin it out to use as a salad dressing, or as a topping for pasta.
Ready In Under 5 Minutes
This is a quick and easy recipe that can be ready in as little as 5 minutes.
Simply add all the ingredients to a Vitamix and blend until it's creamy and smooth.
I included a step to soak the cashews for about 30 minutes before blending them to make the sauce extra creamy, but it's optional.

In this recipe, I used a combination of hot habanero peppers and smoky paprika that makes it irresistible.

Gluten-Free Vegan Smoked Paprika Habanero Sauce
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup organic raw cashews
- ¾ cups water, filtered/purified
- 1 organic habanero pepper
- 2 cloves organic garlic
- 1 tablespoon organic smoked paprika powder
- 1 tablespoon organic lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- ¼ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
Instructions
- OPTIONAL STEP: Soak the cashews in filtered/purified water for about 30 minutes, then rinse and drain before adding them to your Vitamix. This extra step will give the sauce an extra creamy consistency.
- Add all ingredients to a Vitamix and blend until creamy and smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference and add a little more water if you'd like a thinner sauce.
- Transfer to small individual dipping bowls and serve with your favorite side dish, veggie, etc.
- Store in an air-tight BPA-free container in the refrigerator.
