This very simple Beet and Celery Juice can be made in just a few minutes with only 3 healthy ingredients and it's a very detoxifying and alkalizing drink.
Just so you'll know what to expect, as good as this juice is for you...it isn't a sweet tasting juice.
Beet juice by itself will have some sweetness to it, but this Beet and Celery Juice has a combination of a salty taste (from the celery) and a little tartness (from the lemon).
I like to alternate this juice between green juices and the sweeter juices that use carrots or apples.
It's a great "pick-me-up" drink in the afternoon and it's raw, vegan, gluten-free, lectin-free, alkaline and paleo-friendly.

Tip #1: I use an Omega J8005 juicer and can juice the beet without peeling it first and I cut it into 1/4 pieces before adding it into the chute. You may have to peel the beet before juicing it. depending on the type of juicer you use.
Tip #2: With this juice, I can juice the entire 1/2 lemon without having to peel it first before adding it into the chute. You may have to peel the lemon before juicing it depending on the type of juicer you use.

Thanks for the recipe. I've been trying to get on the beet juice bandwagon to improve my health. This recipe seems like it has some ingredients that can help make beet juice taste better. I bet the lemon and celery would help to add some extra zing. These seem like very healthy ingredients, so I'm sure this recipe will help to improve my health quite substantially.
Karielyn says
Hi there Deanna! I really like adding the lemon and celery because they are both detoxifying and a natural diuretic. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the recipe 🙂
Becky says
Hey Karielyn! 😉 Do You use Your vitamix for this? Just curious if all the fiber is in there. Much love and prayers coming Your way! XOXOX
Karielyn says
Hi there Becky! For my juices, I use my juicer (Omega J8005) which is a low-speed, masticating juicer and I really like it because it's good for leafy greens and fresh wheatgrass...which is the primary reason I chose this particular juicer.
I don't really worry about fiber when juicing, unless I was juicing long term (like on a 30 day juice cleanse) because since I don't exclusively juice as my primary source of nutrition, I do get fiber naturally from the other fresh fruits and vegetables I eat throughout the day.
Thanks for your question!! 😉
Jess says
I don't have a juicer and don't drink juice often (I love me a smoothie, though!), but I'd be curious to try this combo of flavors 🙂
Karielyn says
Hi Jess! Oh girl, you ~have~ to get you a juicer! 😉 This combo is a little tangy, but you could always add an apple or carrot to give it some sweetness 😉
Tina says
Ive tried the beets, celery and carrots which was a great drink.
